Friendship

friendshipListen

14 You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.  John 15:14-16

Friendship is a sacred relationship. It is a union of trust between two people. Friendship is a huge value of my kingdom. I have taught my son, and he shares all he knows with you. You are not a subservient. You are in fact a friend. You are a member of a great fellowship. You are a part of my Kingdom! Friendship is the avenue by which I choose to grow my Kingdom around the world.

When you trust that you are a friend of Jesus, my son, you serve and give and love out of a trusted relationship. It is not your responsibility to earn anything from me. For that is impossible. It is yours to receive and to give, as in any trusted relationship. Trust the words my son have spoken to you are true. Trust that he does not want your guilt based service, for you are in fact a friend. True friends do not earn from one another. True friends trust that the relationship is good and right and that every act of service is performed out of love for the other. When you serve out of love, you serve with pure motive and true friendship.

My beloved, receive from Jesus the friendship he offers. Receive from him and give out of relationship, rather than for it (which you often do). Trust in these words and live out of the truth they hold.

Pray

I pray that you will know that Jesus is your friend.

I pray that Holy Spirit will convict you of any service out of guilt or any service to earn standing before God.

I pray that you would believe that Jesus desires friendship with you.

I pray that you would learn how to be a friend to others, by your relationship with Jesus.

I pray that you would be a blessing in friendship to those around you.
