Praying through the Psalms: My deliverer

image-1-1A psalm of David. When he fled from his son Absalom.

1 Lord, how many are my foes!
How many rise up against me!
2 Many are saying of me,
“God will not deliver him.”
3 But you, Lord, are a shield around me,
my glory, the One who lifts my head high.
4 I call out to the Lord,
and he answers me from his holy mountain.
5 I lie down and sleep;
I wake again, because the Lord sustains me.
6 I will not fear though tens of thousands
assail me on every side.
7 Arise, Lord!
Deliver me, my God!
Strike all my enemies on the jaw;
break the teeth of the wicked.
8 From the Lord comes deliverance.
May your blessing be on your people.Psalm 3

I am your source. I have sent my son Jesus, he is your deliverer. He is your help. He is your rescue. When the world tells you that I will not show up, I will not help, I will not bring rescue or deliver you from your foes, believe Me. Believe in my son, Yeshua, your deliverer.

When you are afraid, believe in me.  When you feel attacked, believe in me. When you don’t know a way out, believe in me. When you feel exhausted, believe in me. When you lie down, believe in me. When you wake, believe in me. When your enemies draw near, believe in me. Believe in me. I am your rescue. I am your blessing. I am the lifter of your head.

Lord, give me the strength to stand in belief when it feels as though the world around me is crumbling and against me. When I lie down and when I wake up may you be my constant source.

Forgive me for being quick to believe the many who tell me that you are not true, will not deliver and will not show up. Draw me into greater belief and may I walk in your blessing. Amen
